About the event
Join us for an amazing Stargazing Fundraising event on Monday, January 31, 6:30-8:30 (the New Moon)! Taking place at The Escondido Creek Conservancy’s Sardina Preserve, the property is an ideal location to avoid light pollution and provides an excellent opportunity for viewing the night sky. Volunteers from the San Diego Astronomy Association will provide state-of-the art telescopes and help interpret the skies, amidst the backdrop of beautiful live music from the acclaimed local violinist, Bethany Grace (www.joyfulviolinist.com).
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Conservancy's Education Fund and support our environmental programs connecting youth with nature.
As an added incentive, we're offering a matching campaign of $2-to-$1 for any new donors (people who haven't donated in the past 18 months), and $1-to-$1 for existing donors, when you donate to Conservancy's Education Fund. Donations of $100 get you 1 ticket to the event (children under 18 attend for free with a paying adult). Please join us!
